Hello my name is
Helen and my husband is called Alan, I work as a Project worker for a
children's charity and Alan is a driver and we have three children. We are
relatively new to breeding and showing Siamese cats and are learning all
the time about cat breeding and exhibiting, however we are very pleased
with what we have achieved in such a short time. Although
our achievements would not have been possible without the guidance
and wisdom of some very long term breeders, who have become very dear
friends of ours. I first became interested in Siamese when I visited
a friend who had just acquired a Siamese kitten. It was beautiful
and I could not believe how intelligent she was compared to other cats I
had previously had.
In no time at all I
was on the phone to a Siamese cat breeder to get my very own kitten. Alan
and I adore her, she is so intelligent and loves human company. That
was the start of a whole new journey for Alan and myself. It is very
hard work but very rewarding. However I have got to say I
think I got the easy jobs, as I provide all the kisses and cuddles and
Alan has all the litter trays and bed cleaning.
At present we have
got four Siamese queens and one Oriental Havana queen, one neutered female
and my stud boy Kye who is siring us some lovely healthy kittens passing
on his good looks and placid temperament. We have just acquired a very
handsome male kitten called Sonny, pedigree name Simplisiam Smooth Talker
from our very good friends Christine and John Duffy. Who we a truly
thankful to for entrusting us with this very handsome lad, who will be a
very valued member of our breeding program. Hopefully Sonny will be
siring kittens with his good looks and temperament as well as a wide
variety of colours sometime next summer. Of course we will be showing
Sonny so keep your eye on the show page for his results "Fingers Crossed"
he does well. All our cats are very much individuals in their own
characters and are loved and cherished for each of their special
qualities. My girls live in the house but also have the added benefit of a
outdoor run so in the daytime they love the alternative for some fresh air
and exercise. Kye lives in his own heated outdoor run with
television and radio and Precious regularly stays with him to keep
him company as they are very good friends and love each other very much.
We are all pet lovers and as well as our cats and children the family is
made up of a Yorkshire Terrier dog called Toby who is nine years old now
and he puts up with all the cats antics and just takes it all in his
stride.
